It's good so far but the presentation needs fixing

The game play itself is interesting and you can easily make a shit load of levels out of this game.

I don't normally like turn based battles in fact i hate RPG's and rpg like game play with passion.

But this had a lot of potential to be extremely popular and yes this is your first game but show some more ambition than that.

First games are perfect chances to make something even more successful than your movies because the demands for graphics in games are not as high.

Any gamer worth there salt only gives a fuck for game play and if the game is fun at all.

There are a lot less graphic whores playing games in the portal than graphic whores watching movies.

Use this to your advantage and stuff as much cool stuff into your game as you can because you can more easily get away with simple graphics.

Making the game easier to optimize, include bonus content and even make the game a little hard.

I don't like sprite graphics since it's basically stealing but as i said it's the game play that matters not the graphics.

You need a game over screen when your protagonist dies and a screen that rewards you for passing a level.

In fact you need levels period.

One level in a game would be acceptable if it was for a prank.

But this is a serious attempt and need to be treated as such.

You could make a giant game with just these battles and some scenes in between them just to pad it out a little bit.

Make the scenes after beating a level more polished. Pretend your making a game for a gaming system while keeping different types of computers in mind.

Have different friends with computers test your game. Learn from them and than make recommendations based on different computer speeds.

If you start using graphic intensive drawings than you will need to test it on different computers and in some cases tone down your graphics while still making sure it looks cool.

It's a difficult balancing act but remember that there are less graphic whores playing games than there would be watching movies.

Don't worry what graphic whores think.

There opinion doesn't matter since they only care if something looks cool or not.

It is much more important to have a flash run smoothly on as many computers as possible than to just shit out something cool looking.

a password engine so that you can continue playing the game on a friends computer later is helpful and a save feature.

If you can't program a save feature than just have a password engine and a new password for every level.

Do all these steps and you will have an award winning game on your hands.

One of the better maze games on this site

I usually see maze games on this site all the time when i surf this site but this was actually a lot of fun and showed a lot of imagination.

The fact you included a password engine into your game makes it easier to keep track of where you left off.

But i would have made a new password available after you beat one level rather than five in a row while it does present a challenge.

I would have recommended making the levels more difficult and making a password visible everytime you beat a level.

keep the password on the screen for about 15 seconds after each level because that gives your audience enough time to pick a pen and piece of paper they already have in hand to write down the password they'll need for later on.

Better yet include a feature where people can use there computers printer to print each levels password on there own.

Great first submission. I hope to see more from you in the near future.

Decent game and very well optimized

The game itself is one of those generic space shooters and while they are a lot of fun in general.

I subtracted points for lack of originality since these type of games crop up constantly on video game consoles and the internet in general without much in the way of variety.

It's a forgettable game to say the least since there is nothing offered that hasn't been done to death before.

That is not to say that everything under the sun has been done. That is only an excuse used by hack writers to justify there use of cliches.

It is very much possible to stand out above all the other space ship shoots other ships type of games such as design, well scored music, power ups and bosses to battle.

These are general requirements of these types of games to make them more challenging.

It is up to you how you work with all these elements together.

The space shooter has been molded and remolded all the time and memorable games come out such fire fox, space invaders and earth defense force.

Average game and all round forgettable game at best but at least it's fun.

Boss battles and some power ups would be nice

Good action scripting but thats about it

I like how you can throw the stick man like a rag doll but i would have liked it if you had included a few levels here and there.

It's kinda neat but i wouldn't really say it was too great but the fact you tried is what i like.

It shows signs of ambition in something that is part of a learning process.

cool and not overrated

This is a very good beat em up but to be the honest I'm not a fan of the whole concept of using the website it's posted on as the games overall theme.

Because there was so much opportunity to make an equally successful game as this with a more original premise and characters of your creation.

It reminds of the beat em up games i played as a kid and those much like this game is a lot of fun.

Just the newgrounds theme caused me to take away a few points since it's a little played out.

You could have created original characters to work as your fighters but that's just my own personal tastes there.

Theres no way to pick up from where i left off such as saves or a typing password.

I like typing a password because than i can pick up from the last level i played even while on a friends computer instead of my own computer.

It's true that beat em up games much like this in the arcades or the old 8 bit video game systems rarely used either feature since your expected to ussually beat it in one sitting.

I noticed there is noway to adjust the quality in the game but you have disabled right clicking to stop people from cheating and that is a step in the right direction.

If you disable the play back features and have the quality settings than it is something that will save some people with shitty computers a lot of head ache while playing your game.

The graphics themselves aren't so graphic intensive that it would disrupt most of machines playback but small things like that go a long way with people playing your game.

But i can already assume you tested this game on different machines already as is but even just disabling the playback settings while keeping the quality settings is the most you can do to make sure your movie/game will work on as many computers as possible short of making something unpolished.

I hope this review was to your liking and i tried my best to be as constructive as i can be.

Awesome game and keep em coming.

This actually is a murder simulator

A lot of people would be hard pressed to defend this game but even this points a finger at society.

It's a subtle social commentary on how a game of equal content would never raise in eye brow in anyone but make it about a real life massacre, disaster that actually happened and all of sudden everyone freaks out.

And often overlook it's positive aspects of craftsmanship or even think for a second on why certain tools were used instead of others.

There is always parallel to reality to these types of works and often feel like a work of fiction but it is the real life parallel that raises questions about tastes and should it even be made at all.

But for freedom of speech to exist unpopular ideas can't be censored and are equally valid as everything else.

The conglomerate whores in the news media freaked out without really giving it a second thought and it seems to reflect the general public wild overreaction to a piece of entertainment that made them highly uncomfortable.

Somehow if any type of creative endeavor is not glowing with fake sympathy than it is not seen for what it really is.

The fact of the matter is this is just fun game that contains tons of black humor but just because we may love this game doesn't mean we actually approve of the actual V-tech shooting.

The game might actually be a bad reflection on games in general but is it really any worse than any other trashy video game?
